Our Story

# Connecting the Dots

Fixilify was born from a simple realization: the person who first hears about a broken product is almost never the person who can explain it — and the answer they need is buried in the code.

### Pedro Viana

Founder & CEO — 12 years in software engineering

I've spent twelve years building software — as a Senior Engineer writing code at 2 AM to make deadlines, as a CTO making architecture bets that would determine whether a startup survived, and as a CEO watching support tickets pile up while the only people who could answer them were heads-down shipping the next release.

Across every role and every company, one pattern kept repeating: the people closest to the customer are the furthest from the answer. A customer reports that something is broken. Support cannot explain why, so they escalate. An engineer context-switches away from their work, spends twenty minutes reading code, and discovers a cause that was knowable all along. Meanwhile the customer waits days for a reply that says very little.

> "You can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future."
>
> — Steve Jobs, Stanford Commencement Address, 2005

That line from Steve Jobs has stayed with me for years. When I look backwards at my own career — the late-night debugging sessions, the incident war rooms, the support queues nobody could drain — I see the dots that led to Fixilify. Every escalation that should never have been an escalation was a lesson pointing me here.

But here's where it gets interesting. In software, the "dots" aren't just life experiences. The dots are the literal parts of a software system — different repositories, database schemas, application logs, CI pipelines, infrastructure configs. Each one holds a fragment of the truth. A customer's complaint is one more dot, and it's usually the one nobody connects to the rest. Join them, and the explanation is right there.

That's exactly what Fixilify does. We connect your GitHub repositories to the questions your customers are actually asking, so the people answering them finally have the context they were always missing. Your support team describes a problem in plain language; Fixilify reads across every connected repository and explains what is genuinely happening. We started with repositories. Databases, logs, observability, infrastructure — every layer becomes another connected dot.

Why does this matter so much? Because a customer who gets a straight answer stays a customer. Because a support agent who can explain the problem stops dreading the queue. And because every escalation that never happens is an hour an engineer spends building instead of explaining. When companies can answer their customers honestly and quickly, they earn the trust that lets them grow — and their builders get their time back.

Fixilify is built and operated by UNFLD — UNFOLDING THE FUTURE LTDA — the company we founded in São Paulo to turn complex work into technology people can actually use. Fixilify is one of several systems we build and stay responsible for long after release.

Fixilify exists to make those people unstoppable.

## Our Mission

To close the gap between "a customer reported a problem" and "here is exactly what's happening" — so that support teams can answer with honesty instead of apologies, and engineers can build instead of explaining. We believe companies earn trust one clear answer at a time.

## Ready to Join the Mission?

Whether you want to try Fixilify or help us build it — we'd love to connect the dots with you.
